My Bogs boots are a replacement for a pair I bought two years ago. I loved those boots for their comfort and fit, but the sole wore out faster than I think it should have. Unfortunately, that model was discontinued so I went with the new short pull up style. I love the multicolor pattern and they're fairly comfortable and true to the size length, but they are MUCH wider than my others, so be forewarned. I preferred the way the others fit snugly around my ankles as well as my feet and these boots don't offer a flattering fit. The pull up style is less to my liking but will probably be more convenient in the long run for both rain and snow. Only time will tell if the sole is more durable.

i love my new bogs. i have not had the shorter version before but they are so great. they have all the qualities of bogs boots in that they are very comfortable, my feet stay warm and dry all day. i am a dog walker so i need the boots to be good quality and i am not disapointed, best thing about them is that they are so easy to put on and take off. Oh and the colours are great too!

The boots are a lovely color....the problem is that all the reviews I read said they ran big. I normally where a 9 9 1/2 so I figured if they ran big I'd order a 9. Well I put them on and immediately went to the Amazon website and ordered a 10. I'd say the boots run more to size and you should order on the bigger side,especially if you want to wear thick socks.

I purchased the grey boots to go with a new grey skirt. So far it has not been wool and tall boot weather. The boots were comfortable when I tried them on. I ordered a 9 instead of an 8 1/2 because of the reviews of other buyers. They fit perfectly at a half size larger. The grey color is an excellent match for all the darker grey items in my wardrobe. I don't want the weather to change for the colder but at least I'll look good when it does.

I have been looking for a boot that would be wide width, but not wide at the top. These boots fit great and are exactly what I was looking for. I do have to wear inserts for my heals, but besides that I don't have any complaints. I love the chocolate color and the boot is pretty much exactly as the picture shows it.

I got these on Amazon for $75 and have been wearing them for a couple of weeks now. I've been looking for a pair I can wear to work or out later that are genuine leather & these definitely fit the bill. To address some of the other reviewsthe polka dots have rubbed off but it doesn't/hasn't affected the use of the boots. The fit is spot on, I wear a 9.5 and the size 40 (9/9.5) fit perfectly. The leather is soft and thinner than some of the other boots I have (Frye, J Crew) but to me it fits the style of the boots, the others I have are work boots/ riding boots and these are a slimmer, more feminine fit, the thinner leather works well here. If you are looking for thick boots for wearing out in the cold these might not meet your needs. I don't see the thinner leather being an issue for durability unless you are very hard on your boots.

I was worried that they might be too tight on my calves (they hit me at slightly below mid-calf) but they fit perfectly (and the straps can be adjusted if you need a bit of extra room. The soles are wooden with a thin layer of rubber, definitely slick when you first start walking in them. The way they are made, they can easily be resoled which makes these boots an even better investment.

Because of the wooden soles, they don't have much padding, I got a thin insole for a few dollars and now they are perfectly comfortable.

I'll definitely update to see how they wear over time but right now, for the price I am pleased with my purchase.

I bought these boots for my 14 year old daughter who has very narrow calves (11.5 inch circumference). She loves them! The 13 inch circumference fits my 12.5 inch calves too with little room to spare. The leather is very soft with a few inconsistencies in color, but she doesn't mind. Boot color is as pictured ( a taupe/brown color) not a dark chocolate.

OK boots ... fit was spot on. I have slender calves and these fit great there and the foot sizing also. I always were a 6-1/2, and these fit perfectly.

Not terribly well made, however the lining is light blue with white polka dots (cute) but the polka dots were wearing off on my socks just when I tried them on in the house. The leather is on the thin side.

If they were a screaming deal, they would be keepers, just because of the fit. But they're going back due to the overall lack of quality.

Like the shoes but I seem to be between sizes. I first ordered 6.5, which were comfortable, but a little large around the ankle so I tried size 6. It fit well with the exception of the top rubbing my ankle. I'm keeping the 6.5.

These are very warm boots. And they are not slippery. I have a back injury and wanted something to keep me stable on my feet in the winter months. These worked fine walking across a large parking lot with many ice patches going to and from work, shoveling snow, and even cute enough to go shopping, although they did get warm. I have the hardest time finding boots/shoes that are comfortable (foot problems from years of standing on my feet at work) and these were quite comfortable. The only problem I had was the tag on the inside of boot rubbed side of leg, I just removed it and they're fine now.

these look great; very sexy and chic. excellent with skinny jeans! my boy thought they were "way hot," lol. the color is just like the picture and is perfect for all seasons (i got them in natural and it's a light/nude/almond color with some light brown coloration by the toe); it's a great neutral color that goes with practically everything. they also seem comfortable enough for this type of shoe, but i haven't worn them for an extended period of time yet. the platform helps take pressure off the ball of your foot and the inside is a soft material. the heel is very skinny though and thus makes them a little harder to walk in. they're stable enough for this type of heel, but if you're not used to high, skinny heels you may have a difficult time walking/standing in these. i did find them to run small. i always get an 8.5 in everything unless sizing is off and i had to get a 9 in these. i have several pairs of mojo moxy shoes and most of them are an 8.5 and fit perfectly but this will be the second pair i've had to get a 9 in. also, they require a little more effort to get on your foot since there is no zipper, but the sides do have goring that stretches a good bit. due to the tall tops you have to wiggle your foot a bit to get them on. i can get them on my feet fairly easily but i wouldn't recommend them to someone with really wide or fat feet (for reference, i have slightly wide but bony feet). overall, a great addition to my closet!!

As an avid boot collector I relish the entire experience.....from the moment I opened the shipping box and saw the beautiful Donald J Pliner box the wonderful experience began.....packaged perfectly I peeled back the layers of paper and was elated at first glance. Mind you, these boots are expensive (for me at least) at purchasing them was not done on a whim.....I looked at them about 3,000 times and finally HAD to pull the trigger....after fussing over which color to choose that is! I selected the espresso color and could not be happier with how beautiful these boots are. I grabbed two pairs of sock (one thick and one thin) to try them on with and as a true size 7, had to go with the thin socks not because of the foot fit but because of the ankle fit. I am 5'4", 135 lbs. and can wear every type of boot but these were tight in the ankle area and extremely stiff overall. I felt like I was walking in paper towel cardboard for the first few hours at work (driving was equally wonky as breaking took a few attempts to get used to) but as the day wore on they softened up and stretched quite a bit. I felt the inside zipper rubbing my ankles for most of the day and will switch to thicker socks as soon as I am able. The arch support doesn't exist and I can feel the cold street through the bottom of the boot which is a bit disappointing especially for the price. Once they stretch out more I will add gel inserts and thicker socks to make them more comfortable. While I am not totally thrilled with these boots as I dreamed I would be, I will keep them and work with them until we are best buds....I wanted the black suede pair too (which is why it took so long for me to make this purchase couldn't decided between the two colors) but will not be buying them now. I have a pair of loden dulce vita Lujan boots that fit perfectly right out of the box for half they price and don't think we girls should have to work this hard to break in a pair of $400 boots....just my opinion....I'm also not thrilled to find out they are made in China now...also did not receive any compliments on these at work as I did the Fergie Ledger 2 boots that look just like these but are not real leather (something to think about if you are a boot collector like me!). I do recommend these but only if you are willing to do the work to make them comfy!!

I ordered these guys, oh say on a Friday maybe a Monday evening, got 'em yesterday. These thangs(I'm a Southern girl) are LUSCIOUS straight out the box y'all!! I saw these at a local shoe store here in Asheville, NC for $398 I wasn't about to cough up that kinda money when I knew AMAZON would have them at a more reasonable price($5 outside of $200 counts for reasonable to me). Okay, so here's the rundown. The boots fit snug around the calf. I was concerned because I'm a "Big legged" gal, but there is still enough room for thin socks and skinny jeans to fit. I typically wear a size 10-10.5, but I had to order an 11. That's okay though because these boots are so FLYY I would've ordered a 13 if I had to. Be aware that you might need to go up a half size or so to get a good fit in the toe box. The color espresso is really, really dark(Great!!)and will go with so many casual outfits. The stitching is excellent and the leather topnotch. I love a leather bottom shoe/boot, BINGO! These babies got that covered too! 3 brass zippers give these puppies LOTSA attitude. I'm very happy with my purchase. So happy I'm wearing my new boots right now!

This is my first pair of Pliner boots. The quality is outstanding, the color and texture of the leather is very rich! The style is a bit "daring" compared to my usual straight-laced look; but because these are so unique and beautiful, I decided to go for it! I did not have the same trouble as one of the other reviewers as far as stitching...so that may be an isolated issue. Sizing is perfect. I wear an 8.5 and these fit true to size. As far as shaft diameter, I have a 14.25" calf and these fit well enough to tuck in a pair of skinny jeans as well as with an above-the-knee skirt. Gorgeous boot ladies!!

I was skeptical at first to buy theses being they were only 19.99, but after I seen a 5 star review I figured wouldn't hurt, so I ordered them in black. This is my first pair of western style boots so I'm not sure exactly how they are suppose to feel.. I'm a size 9, and ordered a size 9, they fit pretty good. The heal seems to have a bit of a give to it, but I'm also average weight so probably why I feel that lil give when I step down. I would recommend this boot, they are deff worth the $19.99.

I received the booties in a timely manner, as with most products I've purchased on Amazon. The size 7 fit perfectly, so they were true to size, however, they were very uncomfortable whether standing or walking. Since there is no platform to offset the heel height my foot arched and sloped forward simultaneously. I knew manmade material was used, but they were poorly made, e.g., improperly glued faux stack heel, shoe wasn't tailored on top; more rounded than contoured. Lastly, looked like someone got careless with a silver marker as random silver dots were all over the shoes, and even lined along the elastic insert of one. Nothing justified me keeping them, so I returned them.

I like these boots but they dont work with everything. Because of the shape, from some angles they look huge. I wear a size 8 -8 1\2 and im glad i got the eight.
