I purchased a pair of these same boots from Macy's and returned them becasue of the heel. I then purchased them from Amazon in a different color and found the same problem with the heel. No fault of Amazon's, it's a manufacturers issue. The bottom black cap on the heel kept turning and would not stay in place. Lovely looking boots, fits legs perfectly, but bad heels...

These are by far my favorite pair of boots in my (maybe) extensive boot collection. They're perfect in every way. Super comfortable and easy to wear with any outfit. They're not too high which for me makes it much more versatile. I can wear them practically anywhere without worrying how long I have to be on my feet. The pointed toe really adds a sophisticated, long look to any outfit. The dark brown keeps it casual and the little ruched detail at the ankle, though simple, adds a ton of character to the boot. It also fit perfectly around my calf: My calf at its widest point is 14 inches in circumference. And though the boot fit well on my calf, it was a snug fit. I can imagine if my calf was even half an inch wider, it would be extremely difficult to put on and take off. If you are worried about the boot fitting your calf, definitely measure.

The boot overall is very sleek looking, it hugs at the ankles and really slim-lines your legs completely. It is a little difficult to take of and I really have to carefully wiggle my foot out, but I don't mind. They are killer and I love them!

I've hunted all season for chocolate boots and finally I found them. These boots are nice and comfortable and the heel is perfect. I didn't realize the zipper was in the back of the boot. It's a little difficult to get off, but I can deal with it.
