I tend to be a boot snob and honestly wasn't so sure about this boot but ordered it anyway. LOVE IT!!!!!! I have the blue/black and it's a rich blue and with the black, it's amazing. Surprisingly great quality for the price. I do spend anywhere from $200-$400 on my boots and I wasn't expecting this quality for that price!! I do recommend weather proofing, as with any suede type boot. I'm NOT easy to please AT ALL lol. I'm happy to say, these are one of my favs in my boot collection!!!! These do not have a slim calf but it's not made to fit snug, it's also not wide either. Keep in mind, it has the 3/4 inside zipper, not a full zipper so if you tend to have large ankles then I would recommend you keep looking.The boots I received are not the red/brown color shown in the picture but they are purple/brown instead I prefer the color shown in the picture
