I'll admit it--I have a bit of a fetish going on--and a major thing about big, clompy biker-style boots. I've had these babies over a year now and, as advertised, the more you wear them and the more scuffed they get, the better they look (and I wear mine a LOT. I can tell they're going to hold up for years). The only reason I didn't give them five stars is because they weren't quite what I'd expected from the photo. I wasn't expecting the texture (in the photo they appear smooth, but they're kind of nubby all over, and I mean over the entire boot. Look carefully at the pic and you'll notice an almost "croc" pattern), but they're nice looking and rugged. The toe is pretty strongly squared, by the way, so if you prefer a rounded or pointy toe these might not be to your liking. My reservations about the nubbiness and square toe disappeared once I put them on. The color is gorgeous and they look amazing with jeans. I bought my usual size (7) and the fit was perfect. I wanted something a little different from my usual black biker boots, and I'd been searching for brown harness boots for a while before I spied these. Comfy, no breaking-in period was necessary. I love them. If they made these in a shorter style, I'd buy another pair.

Boots look exactly like pictured. They are very comfortable and do run at least a half size too big. The boots are a bit heavy but otherwise they are great.

I bought these in black last summer, and found them to be extremely comfortable and tough looking. I ordered a size 7 based on reviews and I typically wear a 7 1/2 8. My black boots have worn tremendously, I use them for riding and found they are great for kicking around in poor weather too (snow in Wisconsin doesn't penetrate!). Bought these in brown and the fit is identical. The leather on these are softer, the texture more pebbled on the shaft and smoother around the foot form. The harness on these is super cool, and it hangs over the xelement stamp so it's not as visible. There is a stamp on the shaft center top front which is a little annoying...but honestly these boots are too cool to make that a deal breaker. These boots will look awesome with blue jeans or with skirts. I look forward to wearing these for years to come, and the price is simply unbeatable.

I have not worn the boots yet but was very pleased from the first time I opened the box with their appearance and how well they are made. In trying them on I have the feeling that they will be my favorite footwear for fall and winter. Overall a wise purchase.

Boots were comfortable right out of the box, wear them for working around the ranch. I usually wear a 10.5 or 11 but the size 10 fit perfect. The quality of the leather is very nice. The price was unbeatable as oppose to a pair of frye's. Highly recommend!
