Bought these in black, received them 4 days later! I ordered these a half size larger for socks and a cushion insole. They fit perfectly! The round toe and lower heel are just what I wanted and VERY hard to find. Nice leather, not too stiff and not too soft. They fit great under my skinny jeans! Have worn them out dancing twice and just pulled them off after an entire day of shopping and errands, no blisters!. Have gotten several compliments on them. I have had foot surgery and am a little hard to fit. Never ordered boots on line before and am going to purchase another pair in a different color! These are my new favorite boots!

I ordered in the cognac in June of 2012. Heres's the skinny--

A cursory web search reveals this is a very popular boot; the folks over at Steven must be churning out the Noahh 2.0 because the boot I received looks different than Amazon's images. It's just subtle differences but it's enough to note: the heel is NOT a natural wood color as pictured on Amazon, rather it's dark smoky brown. The leather on the entire shoe is more smooth and dressier; here the Noahh has a kind of rugged rawhide-y look-not quite so in person. Also, there's now a 1/4 inch black band that runs along the entire shoe, right under the stitching. The two-tone border, IMO, cheapens the shoe. Lastly, the toe isn't quite as round and snubbed, it's a tad pointier now. I found more up-to-date photos on other sites that confirmed Amazon's Noahh (in cognac) is not the boot they're now producing. Bummer.

Since I wanted a super casual all-brown boot with a light, natural heel, I was sorely disappointed how the new touches make the Noahh dressier. The original Noahh looked pretty unique, but realistically I can now find plenty of other ankle boots that look just like it. And the dark heel on a orange-ish brown boot? Boo!

Additionally, the boots REALLY reek. Not of leather but of that distinct chemical treatment that afflicts a lot of lesser quality shoes. They've eventually aired out, but geez my eyes are still burning. My mom wanted to try them and when she had a sniff, as is tempting with any leather product, she let out a long Eww The odor is potent!

I'm a very solid 9 and I ordered in 9. Some sites say this runs a hair small. I think the length is actually pretty TTS, but the toe bed is a wee narrow and the pointed toe is not terribly roomy. Unless you have particularly dainty, short toes, I'd order a half size up if you plan to wear socks or an insole. The width seemed pretty average to me.

The overall quality is about what I'd expect in this general price range. But sites that are selling for full retail are taking you for a ride as the leather is thin, the smell is god awful, and footbed comfort basically non-existent. The faux zipper pull is a nice touch but not worth 3 figures. I got worn pinky toes after just a few hours of wear. So for the folks who found them comfy right of the box or with no break-in time, I had a different experience. But they're hardly torture devices.

Unfortunately I don't think they'll last many seasons and I really wanted an all brown boot. Lol, I wanted the boot from the picture, y'all! So allow me some pouting. What I ended up with is a decently cute boot of average quality. If you're not as picky as me or don't mind the changes they've made, stalk them until they go on a deep sale.

These are comfortable and cute with so many of my skinny jeans. I wore these on our trip to London and Paris. My husband and I walked everywhere and my feet never got tired in these booties.

I actually returned the black and kept the taupe/gray. They are super cute! I get tons of compliments on them. They do start to press on my toes a little and I had to put some moleskin over the one zipper because they were starting to rub my leg if I wore them too long. But so cute!
