I purchased these boots a couple of years ago. They are, by far, the warmest boots I have ever owned. They are a bit heavy, but I just look at this as a better workout! These boots, coupled with the items, below, make for great winter hiking:

I am a letter carrier in central IL, I thought this would be good boot because it is tall and good for very cold temperatures. I am sure it is a good boot if; you are not walking a long distance and it is very, very cold. I found it to be too heavy, too cumbersome, and too hot for the purpose of mail delivery, but I do wear those boots when sledding and shoveling. I would not usually spend that much money on a sledding/snow removal boot.

Second pair I have owned. Love these boots. They are warm and like walking on a pillow. I wear them snowmobiling.
