Sturdy, light, and soles like traction tires. They have both a zipper and laces, allowing for a custom fit that you don't have to tie repeatedly. You should be cautious about walking indoors in these shoes (The soles could cause some floor damage.), but you can feel confident walking in the ice and snow in them! I could not be happier with these shoes.
