I purchased these boots less than 2 years ago, and I am unable to wear them this year. I wear size 13 so it is VERY difficult to find boots in my size that are comfortable, have no heel, and don't cost over $100. When I found these, I was very excited and relieved...but that was temporary.

After wearing them only a couple times this year, I noticed my foot felt very "squishy" when I walked, as if I was falling through the sole of the shoe somehow. Upon further look, I noticed the lining inside the boot was actually pushing down into the rubber base of the boot's rubber sole, leaving my heels to rub against that part which didn't feel so good to say the least. There is no repairing these boots I feel, at least not since the boots themselves are less expensive than a repair might be.

This is really disappointing, especially since they are so difficult to find. I did some research today and found less than 5 pair of boots that might work, including this pair. I don't think I will order the same pair again, although I wonder if I just got a "lemon" pair.

I wish there was something that could be done about this, but it looks like I'll be buying another pair...just hopefully not every year!

I like these. They are warm, water repellant, zip open down the middle, making them quick & easy to put on. The subtle snowflake design is cute. Still, I wavered about rating these 4 stars for the following reason.

My only complaint is these boots run SMALL, so it is more snug & tight of a fit than it should have been.

I ordered these for a senior whose feet sometimes swell and who prefers wide-width footwear. I ordered the "extra wide width" ("Ww" inside the boots and "E" on the website). Her feet were not swollen when she tried the boots on, but the extra-wide width was a tight fit anyway. The boots do not seem like they are wide-width at all, let alone extra-wide width. I realize now the description only indicates the CALF of the boots is (extra)wide.

Otherwise, it just seemed like the normal size, so that on occasions when her feet do swell if we were keeping them she probably would not be able to put these boots on at all. Another concern is that, even when her feet are not swollen, the boots might become uncomfortable after having them on for a couple of hours.

I guess the boots probably would fit her if I'd order a half size up. How was I supposed to know that??? There is no way to tell from the size chart a bigger size than one normally wears may be necessary. The ONLY way to know it may be necessary is learning of other buyers' problem with this. So, I hope this is helpful to somebody else. Too bad there seems to be no reliable way to advise potential buyers that the sizes of things (especially clothing manufactured in another country) might be somewhat bigger or smaller than indicated on the website.

That always is going to be a problem when ordering clothing, especially shoes & boots, online -which unfortunately means you lose the money it costs shipping the stuff back, a risk avoided when buying footwear in a store where it actually can be tried on. To me, that is NOT a minor issue, especially since the free shipping was part of what led me to chose these over some of the other boots. So, it is annoying that I have to pay $7.50 to ship them back to the seller. Okay, done venting now....

An update of sorts, in the event my mistake benefits somebody else:

If you buy these but end up returning them during the time the Amazon Authorization allow, I recommend you DO NOT use the return shipping label included with the package.

(1) You miss out on the protections & status updates that are so great about purchases and returns through Amazon.

(2) It likely is going to COST you significantly more to return it than simply printing out the Amazon label would've cost.

So I ordered this boot 1/2 size larger than I usually wear and it fits beautifully and I will have to wait for the weather to actually get cold enough to snow before I try them out on long dog walks.

Although I have not worn these in the snow yet ( they were purchased for a winter vacation ) I did love the fit and style. The ease of removal was an extra plus. I took the advice of other online reviewers and ordered 1/2 size bigger than usual and they are perfect even with warm socks. Very comfortable.
