These boots were almost exactly right for me, but unfortunately they fell short. I am usually an 8.5/9 depending on the brand of shoe so I ordered both sizes for this boot. The leather was a little stiff, and may soften with wear. But, the stiffness gave the boot good structure and they had a riding boot appearance. Pros include comfort, style, rubber sole for good traction. Here are the cons for me. There was too much room in the ankle area, so that resulted in a little bunching/folding. The biggest problem for me was the shaft tightness. I have athletic calves that usually can fit in normal width boots (not wide shaft) in the 15-16 inch circumference range. These, despite the elastic panel, were way too tight. The 8.5 fit well in the footbed, but I couldn't zip the boot up. The 9 were too big in the footbed, but zipped up all the way, however, the shafts were like large rubber bands on my calves. My feet would have gone numb if I wore these boots all day with that amount of tightness. It wasn't so minor that wear and stretching would have helped.

These are pretty boots and would have been a great steal (I bought them on an awesome promotion so they were less than $100) if they fit. For someone with thinner calves, these may be just right for you.

I got these in my size (9) before there were any reviews. Boots almost always look baggy on my narrow calves. I wanted a boot that fit close to my calves without making my ankles look large. These did well except they're a little TOO snug in the leg. In fact, they almost cut off my circulation, so I unzip them an inch or so at the top. Besides that, they look fantastic--perfect with leggings.

I've been looking for a riding boot that would fit my calf. Most boots look like fishing waders on me but these actually fit my calf! The leather looked nice and I liked the wedge heel. Unfortunately they sag around the ankles unattractively, so I had to return them.

The boot is really nice looking, it pinched my feet tho. It fit me a little too narrow, maybe if I had gone up a half size. Other than that, the color and look of the boot is gorgeous, especially for the price I got on it (Amazon sale).
