It's almost time for me to choose to return these or not. First ridiculously tight. I'd go up half a size for the actual shoe part. The main problem is getting them on to begin with. I don't have the slenderest of ankles perhaps, but have never had a problem with any boots like these. Maybe a slight wiggle would be normal, but these took almost 10 min each to get my foot past the ankle bend part of the boot. I was trying to give it a shot, since a previous reviewer said that they loosen up. So I get them on by alternating rolling my ankle back and forth and pulling... not once did I attempt to stomp them on my foot at all.

Ok, so finally on and they are painfully tight with basic cotton socks. Walk from living room to the kitchen and back. Squat and lean forward to try and regain some circulation that way, because they really are that tight at the ankle still. Then two steps and the heel snaps off. It's only held on by small square of 4 prongs near the front of the heel base. The slightest hint of glue along the back of the heel. Put it back on and carefully walked to the computer to type out this review.

I could probably have the heel fixed easy enough, but it's soo frustrating. I considered going to a 9, but it's out of stock. Most likely return them, but it kinda hurts to do that because I love shoes and I really like the Taupe color.

They are very nice boots, comfy and the taupe colors works with most of my outfits. The downside is that the second time I wear them, one of the heel block thing broke and now it's just hollow and makes a weird sound when I walk in them.

I love this boot, once I figured it out. I was concerned when it first arrived that it was too small. I also wasn't used to a boot that comes up that high being a pull on. The first time I wore it I was upset feeling that it ran small, but by the second time I wore it, it fit perfectly. They are a little bit hard to get on since they are pull on, but once on they seem to be true to size.

The boots are VERY stylish and I absolutely LOVE them... but to be honest they are not black. I'm not sure why it says black because they are actually a grey with black undertones. So if you are ordering know that you are getting a grey boot and if you want to wear thick socks with them, go up a half size.

Otherwise they are well made, look great with a pair of jeans or a skirt and tights, the heal isn't so high that they hurt after more than an hour of wear (I spent an entire day running errands in them and my feet didn't hurt)

Now here is my one complaint for some reason these boots have an odor to them, some sort of chemical odor. I only notice it when I'm in the car for a while, or after I take them off my socks have the smell of some sort of plastic chemical. I am hoping this will dissipate over time
