These boots were my second attempt in my search for a black boot with a western feel that could also go with dress slacks. The first pair were very similar, but they had a very stiff feel, and the mouth of the boot was too wide and made my slacks stick out in an odd way. These are perfect and my search is over. The leather is very soft and I am pretty sure they will be even more comfortable once I break them in a bit. The heel is pretty high, which I like for pairing with dress pants, but it has a wide base that makes them sturdy and comfy for walking. I will definitely wear these with jeans and with dress slacks.
The more narrow mouth of the boot prevents it from causing my pants to bunch up mid-calf, but they are a teensy bit challenging to get on and off. The straps at the top help with the "on" part, but you probably want some privacy the first few times you try to take them off since it may involve rolling around on the floor in an undignified manner. Once they are broken in I am sure it will be better.

Fits true to size, I wear a size 10 shoe and they are very flattering and extremely comfortable! I LOVE these boots! the heel is perfect height, looks great with a pair of jeans; The rust color is a gorgeous brown that will go with everything.Goodlooking first class leather boot with a perfect fit in a nice rusty colour to match with jeans or brown clothing etc. A bit difficult in taking off in the beginning but a pleasure to wear and that's what counts.
