there is no question that the leather/construction of these boots is high-quality. however, the zipper in the front, the two flappy things and the angled top make them look like pirate/pilgrim shoes once they are on. i have athletic legs so I was looking for a boot with room in the calves and these fit nicely. the style was just not for me. also, the flap on the top would be MUCH easier to deal with if it had a fake buckle with a snap attached rather than having to undo the buckle each time you put them on.

I am so glad I bought these boots! The fit is perfect, the boot is well made from a beautiful and sturdy leather with a design you won't see on every other woman. The price was phenomenal! I don't know how Amazon does it, but I am so grateful they come up with the products and prices that can't be found, or beat, any where else online or in stores. All I can say is, if you have the chance to buy these boots, don't hesitate, just do it.

I normally wear a US 9 in boots and shoes. I have average to athletic calves. These boots were huge on me. My heel slipped up at every step and the calves were so wide the boot almost slouched. Not what you what in a riding-style boot! These would be perfect for larger ladies who have a hard time finding quality riding-style boots to fit their calves, though!

I loved the style and quality of these boots. The leather is soft and supple and the design is great, something a little different yet still classic. I'm only returning them because they don't fit me.

I have had these boots for a couple weeks now, and they are amazing. Not only are they comfortable, but no one else has them. I highly recommend the wine color. Good for day and night, and they look very elegant with just about anything. The zipper in the front is hardly a nuisance, which is what I read in another review before purchasing them.

Good quality. I loved the color & the soft material of leather. But the sizing--which is the most important-is perfect for long-legged women with narrow feet and really huge calves! When I tried it on, it was not comfortable, hurt my toes & it was so loose on my calves. I'm an avid hiker so I don't have skinny calves. I'm 5.0 in height so it reached my knees which makes me look shorter. I agree with one of the reviewers that the way the buckles are styled makes it inconvenient to wear. I have to undo each straps before I can pull the zipper down each time I need to wear it on and off. To make it worse, the shipping cost me $15 just to return it! :(
