I am very happy with these boots. I agree that they may be tricky to get on without pulling too hard on the leather. I bought a 10 and they are a good fit which means they could run a little small as I usually wear a 9.5. Maybe they are a little high for everyday comfort. However, that said, they look great on!

I saw these on a model on the Ralph Lauren site--no mention of who made them, I thought initially they were Ralph Lauren boots. I spent a LONG time trying to find them, I expanded the search to include all designers, and every online store I could think of--no one else has these boots, I know because I looked EVERYWHERE--not kidding. Zappos, Shoes.com, Nordstrom, Macys, DSW, Piperlime etc., etc. etc. I had no name of the boot, no designer, I was, shamefully, an obsessed shoe detective, working with only one photograph. It was only by sheer, obstinate persistence that I found them! I have seen more boots than I care to think about and most of them are not to my liking.

These boots, however, are perfect for boyfriend jeans, the black is relieved by the brown heel, and the leather layer at the top curls back a little and very becomingly, to reveal the jean cuffs. Brilliant.

A fantastic boot for an amazing price. Right now, I feel like it's the best kept secret in boots, tucked away, hidden in the depths of the Amazon boot shop. If you do a search for black high-heel boots on Amazon, it won't even come up, you'll get 75 pages of everything but the Riskey Boot--I found these by accident, only because I become pathetically determined to find exactly what I want--I admit my silliness, okay? But to quote Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka, "A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men."--and women, I would add!!

My advice: buy it now while you can, either it will become popular or Madden will discontinue it--I don't know which, the boot isn't even featured on his own site, which is incredible to me, because I think it's one of the best boots out there, totally enamored with it.

Very easy to walk in, comfortable & can wear them all day! I have yet to wear these in wet weather because I am afraid they may discolor... not willing to take the risk!

These boots are wonderful! Not only are they stable and sturdy to walk in, they look incredibly sexy with skinny jeans, leggings and skirts or dresses. They are easy to pull on, I can be size 7 to 7.5, the 7 fit perfectly. (I would also recommend not pulling them on with the thinner top layer as other customers have mentioned.)The leather is a lovely matte finish, the stacked wooden-look heel make them a little more casual. I wore them today for the first time for 6 hours with no issues.

I would totally recommend these boots, I am used to wearing platform soles so I may use half-insoles for more cushioning. I work in retail so I am on my feet constantly. I am really pleased with this purchase!
