I LOVE my new Joust Ankle boots. I have been searching for 2yrs for the perfect boot cut jean boot and I have found them! They have a very comfortable insole with little puffs at the pressure points on the balls of the feet. The rise is really comfortable and even breaking them in has been a breeze. I have a fairly wide foot and these are roomy enough. The best part though for me is the toe. I have been finding that most boots these days lack the type of chunky toe with just the right shape and height so as not to appear too frumpy. Very happy and will be ordering more footwear from DV...they got it right!

The ankle part is so small and tight that it is very hard to put on. It also looks very awkward if you're wearing it with anything tight like skinny jeans because these boots are already tight on your ankles and also squishing it. It looks cute with shorts, skirts, and short things in general but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend this.

You should definitely order half a size up if you don't have thin feet.

The color and fit of this boot are great, but because it comes up rather high -over the ankle and the opening is VERY narrow (I have skinny ankles and it fits perfectly) the height interferes with the hem of cropped pants, and the high, skinny top made skinny jeans look funny somehow. I felt that if it was lower on the leg it would have been perfect. It's going back, sadly.

These are so insanely cute and I want to wear them all the time! I got them in the smog color, and I'd say they're about a half a shade lighter brown than in the picture. I got them in my usual size 8 and they fit perfectly, but are a little bit snug across the widest part of my foot. I've walked around in them all day and worn them to a concert. My feet have only been a tiny bit sore afterwards, and only on the part of my foot where the shoe fits tightly. I'm so happy I bought them, they are awesome!
