I researched this company and these boots quite a bit before purchase. I adore them, well worth the money. Some suggestions...
-I wear a 9, these are a bit narrow. It's fine as they become broken in, but if you're on the edge you might go 1/2 a size up.
-I got the burnt red, these do scuff easily, I think that adds a lot of character and is what I wanted for these, but they will not stay pristine if that's what you want.
-The red leather inside is unlined, so they will stain white socks at first. Seems to wash out ok though.

I love the look of these boots. I am normally between a size 6.5 and 7 and purchased these in a 6.5 and the base of the boot fits perfectly (I have thinner feet). The round toe allows those of us in-between sizes to size down. Despite the boot fitting well around the base of the foot, because of the design it feels loose around the ankle. You essentially do not have ankle support with this boot. I am sure thick socks can help with this problem. These boots are wonderful! I like the sturdy construction of this boot, but with the shaft having a soft, slightly slouchy feel. It goes with everything! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I ordered my regular size, 7 1/2, and it slips slightly in the heel. I'm afraid if I order a half size down, the boot would be too short. I think some heavier socks or a heel pad will work fine for mejust beware. Worth the extra bucks and will last forever!
