Great for a Halloween costume, or for a goth, punk or black metal look (I will be adding some modifications to mine). They arrived quickly and they're exactly what I wanted. My normal shoe size is 8 or 8.5 (wide) and the size 9 fits perfectly. They aren't super high quality, but they are perfectly good quality for the price and look like they will last as long as any other $30-$40 pair of shoes. I am usually in between sizing for boots, being too big in the calves for regular boots but not big enough for many of the other plus-size boots out there, so I am very happy to have found a pair of boots that fits.

The circumference at the top of the boot is described as 17.5", and my bare calf is 17". In a size 9, the boot is actually a little wider than this. I can't see myself ever needing to use the zipper to get in and out of them (and you will have to relace them every time anyway, since it's hooks all the way up, with the exception of eyelets on the foot and at the very top). While wearing them with heavy jeans underneath, and laced completely shut all the way up with no tongue showing, they measured 19" around the top and 12" around the ankle, and felt snug and comfortable on me while allowing enough room for motion. If you had to unlace the top as far as it would go without showing any skin in the gap, it will go to 21". Even if you need it bigger than that, with skin showing, you definitely won't run out of laces; they are very long and I could wrap the extra around the top of the boot a couple of times with the boot laced completely shut. As far as foot size, the boot is 3.5" across the widest part of the foot. Shoe length is hard to measure due to the shape, but my bare foot is 9.5" long when flat on the floor, and the size 9 fits well with a comfortable amount of toe room.

The sole is hard plastic with only a token amount of tread, so some caution might be needed on a hard floor if you're not accustomed to high heels. Not a major problem as the wide heel is very stable. I found them very easy to walk in, and if you're not on a slippery floor, they're as walkable as any other platform boot.

I ordered these from a 3rd party via Amazon. They arrived in a timely manner and the boots were great looking... but they were NOT a 2020X. In fact, when I contacted the seller (who I have since had positive experience with) they said they had never carried the 2020X wide calf, and they did not know why it would be listed. A year later I had the sense to contact them ahead of time when I saw it was still listed through them.

The reality is that many people cannot buy this kind of item in person, simply because there is not any retail option nearby. Call and double check availability before buying! The regular calf size of these boots will not fit a person with muscular or heavy calves. Remember to check the measurement of the opening width before buying!

ok so im a very athletic build i have large calfs and when i bought these boots i was excited that i found some white boots for my new outfit how ever the top of the boots is so big i can wrap them around my leg with out tieing themaxualy i cant tie them because they over lap way to much. so im returning them.
