These boots are really comfortable, and wide enough for my massive duck feet, enabling me to wear my true size (I usually size up half a size in boots, just for the extra room because my feet are so wide, but there's no need in this case). However, and this is a big however, these boots are not warm enough for a true (in my case, Canadian) winter. I wore these out yesterday, and it was about -9 degrees Celsius (which unfortunately isn't particularly cold for around here), and my feet were cold. The foot portion is not lined in shearling, which is an odd design choice because I personally would rather my feet be warm than my calves. It's disappointing, I had high hopes that these would be my go-to winter boots.

I had mixed reservations about these buying these boots. But they arrived and I fell in love.

So here is the skinny

Pros:

-Great foot room for people with slightly wider feet

-Can adjust Calve fit with the laces and functional strap (I have wider calves...and while the leather was a little snug the first few wears, they are a perfect fit now almost a month later)

-Outside is very soft and looks vintage / aged

-Have worn these in the rain and mud and they do well in both.

-These are VERY comfortable and versatile...I wear mine to go walking park trails, and with my skinny jeans in the office on casual Friday.

Cons:

-amazons picture is nice, but it over saturates the colors of this boot...the camel color is darker and the body of the boot is not that pale (this is actually a plus for me because I wanted darker boots)

-the zipper pulls are a little weak. One keeps coming off...but I can easily reattach it. ( I believe this may just be a bad zipper pull however)

-Ankles are a bit slouchy if I have regular weight socks on.

Tips:

-Even though the toes are waterproof...treat the body of the boot for best results.

-adjust the laces to fit your leg the first time you wear them, then just use the zipper to get in and out...it really contours to the shape of your leg that way.

They're a little shorter than I had expected, but tall enough. I was looking more for a cute look than for comfort and warmth but they have all 3. Lots of compliments. they are absolutely NOT grey light and dark tan.
