These boots fit true to size and are very cute. I am 5'10 so it was nice to find an over-the-knee boot that actually went nearly over my knee! One word of caution the soles are very slippery when wet, so I would definitely put grips on before wearing.

I loved this boot. I received it put it on immediately. The leather is soft and thick so I'm sure it's going to last. However, in the foot-bed, I would have to say it runs about a 1/2 size bigger. I am 5'0", size 5-5.5 feet, and about a 14" calf circumference(very athletic calves). Normally, in boots, I go up a whole size because of my wide feet. I ordered this is a 5.5 and it felt like it was a size 6 or 6.5. I had about an inch of wiggle room left. This wasn't a big deal because it made the boot more comfortable and my feet didn't slide forward or back so it wasn't a big deal. I will probably put comfortable insoles in as the foot-bed is no very soft. The partial zipper on the side also makes it much easier to slip in and out of the boot. The lacing in the back is a beautiful and unique detail that I love. I love that it's a fold over boot for an optional over the knee boot or knee high boot. Since I am pretty short, five feet as I mentioned, the boot went well over my knees unfolded and right at my knee when folded down. The calves fit me very tightly. So those with athletic legs who order a 5.5M, if your calves are smaller than a 14" circumference, this is for you. I'm going to have to get it stretched or wear it in myself. I loved these boots so much that I'm going to make them work. I'm pretty sure the leather will stretch a little bit and will fit like a glove in no time.
