sizing is pretty accurate (although an option of half sizes would be nice). i'm normally an 8.5 and the 9 is a little big if i don't wear thick socks. these are not lightweight boots i thought they'd be a little thinner and felt silly wearing them until there was a little snow or ice on the ground. now i love them and appreciate the quality (and treads) in Chicago's winter. closer to a heavy duty winter boot than a trendy combat boot, but somewhere in between. they also look cool folded down.

Great fit/ True fit/ cozy fit. So soft and warm. Good quality material. Interior is fully lined on both sides and inside base (but NOT tongue and inside top..odd) Please see pics. Solid grip sole. I bought a pair of EMU boots last winter and by this winter the sole of the shoes had holes in it; so much so that water could leak through it. One of the reasons this boot did not last is that it is a flat shoe and has no arch support which is terrible for your feet in the long run.

So I advise these BearPaw Kayla boots to anyone who wants boots that will last for and save money. I bought these boots for $40.00 which is better than EMU that are at least $80.00.

Arch support

lined with fur that keeps you warm

supportive 1 inch sole

NOT penetrated by water like EMU boots

very cute; these boots can be rolled down to expose the fur and the plaid tongue. It's held down with two buttons that snap close.

My only criticism is that the toe of the boot is very stiff but can be broken into. The inside is not as warm as EMU boots but I prefer to have the arch support and sole because the life of the boot is much longer, just wear another pair of socks if needed.

I love these boots. When they first arrived, I was a little disappointed by the fit. They felt snug in the toe. I almost sent them back, but decided to try them out. Within a day they were broken in and cozy. They have been great in the Chicago snow. There are a lot of ways to wear them too. Up and fully laced, loosely laced, folded, folded and snapped, tied over the fold, pretty much anything. They are fun and I have received lots of compliments. I am even considering ordering a second pair in a different color (my first was in the black). Definitely a great price for great boots.
