Literally debated over these boots for 20 minutes at the store. Caved and bought them, and these boots are gorgeous, versatile, and oh so comfortable. I didn't need to break them in at all. Even with a 2.5 inch heel, these were comfortable to wear all day long. There are cheaper boots, but they look cheap, and they lack in quality and comfort. I love these boots!

This boot is very comfortable and fits great. The color is more charcoal than black and it is more of a suede leather than soft leather. My calf is small and the boot gaps about an 1 1/2 " but I wear boot socks and they are fine.

Every year I say I'm going to buy some daily driver boots. I finally did. I don't like anything too fussy and I hate the ubiquitous sag at the ankle that makes everyone look like they have kankles....ewww! These sag very minimally at the ankle. Further they have a flattering worn look that isn't overly contrived. I love them and will probably get them in black too. I should also note that I got these in an 8.5. I typically wear an 8.5 9.5. These fit me perfectly as an 8.5.

I absolutely love these boots. They have a large enough heel that i do not feel like I am playing a balancing act. The soles and heels are generously covered with a rubber type material that is quiet when walking on the hardwood floors and do not cause scratches or dents in the wood. I have a larger calf due to hiking and backpacking and these fit me just right. Not enough room for a pair of skinny jeans, but I prefer to wear tights anyway. The leather is butter soft and will get small marks on it from bumping into things, but this just enhances the character for me. The fabric lining is amazing and allows my feet and legs to breathe just right. No sweaty feet!!!
