These boots only fit skinny legs. If your calves are large due to excess weight or bulky muscles, then these will not fit. I don't have super bulky calves only 17" at the widest part but these boots will not go on all the way. Also, it's hard to tell from the picture but these boots are not very cute. The bottom shoe part are just a plain rubber-like material, and the leg part looks like simulated animal skin. These are not worth the money. Look elsewhere for a nice pair of rain bootsmaybe LL Bean or something...

These rain boots are awesome n the best part is, they don't even look like regular rain boots, they kinda look like leather from a distance. Very comfortable, true to size and dosn't slip AT ALL! I generally walk a lot, and even though i wear them all day, my feel never hurt. They are moderately warm toogreat for the new york kind of weather!! I totally recommend it!

I've been hesitant to buy rain boots for the simple fact that I don't like the way conventional rain boots look; too bulky. I needed rain boots that I could wear around the office and social gatherings. These are exactly what I've been looking for. Yes, they run a little big but I am a size 5.5 and it hasn't been a big problem because these boots are made with practicality in mind:

When does it usually rain the hardest? Winter.

Is winter cold? Yes.

Do you wear thinker clothing and layers during the winter? Yes.

Are you going to wear thicker socks to keep your tootsies warm? Yes.

And that is why the size of the boots hasn't been an issue for me. Sure, its a bit of a pain putting them off and on but not so much to where I feel so compelled to write a bad review for them. I understand that they are tight because otherwise rain is going to get in your shoe. COMMON SENSE.

I do not consider that to be an overstatement at all, I AM IN LOVE THESE RAIN BOOTS!!!! I had been searching around the Internet not only for chic rain boots, but ones which would actually fit me. I am on the small side of the spectrum. While I hear a lot of women talk about how boots don't fit over their calves, boots for me always seemed ridiculously huge and loose and thus made it look really awkward on me and so I never got to wear boots :-( Rain boots especially always seemed wide and came only in one style.

One of the main reasons I was drawn to Chooka is their unique take on the rain boot. They come in various colors and designs and patterns and this made the brand highly appealing to me. I'm tired of seeing the same clunky rain boot around, it looks like you should be hosing down floors or something. When I came across the Chooka Croco, I immediately took a liking to the riding boot style, it's a style of boot that I am drawn to. What also makes Chooka an appealing brand is the pricing. Their prices are affordable, but you're still buying a stylish, quality product. I was looking at every site possible for these boots, and Amazon had the best price. I love Amazon for that and have been ordering through Amazon for many years.

Now, let me get to the actual boot. As I said, because my calves are on the smaller side, I needed a boot which would fit me and not be too wide. When I looked at the measurements for this particular rain boot, it didn't seem ridiculous, for once I may have rain boots that wouldn't leave too much of a space because they were too wide. My calves are about 13" in circumference, and these boots while not entirely snug on my calves, actually look appropriate on me. If I wanted to wear thick socks and jeans with these on, I could. But if I just wanted to wear tights, that also works because as I said, they don't look that wide and loose on me compared to other boots I have tried. So, if you are on the smaller side, definitely look into these and get a pair for yourself.

I was a bit concerned about how the actual shoe part of the boot would fit since I am a 7.5 and they don't do half sizes, I had to order an 8. However, depending on the shoe, my size fluctuates from 7, 7.5. and 8, so once I got the boots on, my concerns vanished. They fit fine and when I walk around these boots are so comfortable! I love the soft lining inside the boot and it's warm, too! Where I live, it rains A LOT and it also gets very cold, so now I have the boots which fit the weather.

Style wise, these are the best rain boots I have ever seen. I do have another pair of rain boots which look like booties, and I also like those because they don't look like your standard rain boot. I got the Chooka Croco because I wanted a taller pair, and in black... and actually stylish. I wouldn't feel embarrassed at all if it was raining and I needed to go somewhere formal, or to a meeting, which I will need to do next week and according to the forecast, it will be raining. The riding boot style cleans up the image of the rain boot by making it very chic and classy. The best part is the croco design, it gives it some texture and makes the boot look more than just rubber. I enjoy the pointed toe, it makes my legs look longer. Also, if you're concerned on whether these are super shiny because they are rubber, the bottom half of the boot is actually matte, there is no shine to it at all. The croco part is a bit shiny but because of the texture, make it looks like leather.

So, would I recommend these? Absolutely! I am so enthusiastic about these boots. I think I can now understand why some people would want to wear rain boots all the time, so long as they looked like these!
