I have small feet and they are not puffy or too wide. I do, however, enjoy a shoe or boot that has a square toe area so my toes can lay flat and not be crunched up. The boot is cute in appearance but they offer a wide and it actually feels more narrow than an average shoe size. One thing that determined I return this boot is they put a horizontal seam across the top that cuts right into the top part of your foot and it felt constraining in an area the tends to either swell at the end of your day or needs to bend as you make your stepping movements. There was no give or ability to stretch. The other thing I did not like is the noise it made. It sounds like harsh rainjackets or umbrellas rubbing against each other. This would not be a good boot to wear to work all day around others or having to walk, it draws attention to your boots. Definitely not something you want to wear in church or at a library.

the material is waterproof

the stitching makes the top tight when wearing thick socks

the opening above the zipper when closed is stylish but impractical because the flaps open

because i'm flat footed, i use an insert to support my feet (that's not the boot's fault, it's nature's)

still i'm happy because amazon carries (rather the seller) carries my size which is next to impossible to find in department stores

It is so hard for me to order shoes and boots online, but I had a pair of Totes a few years ago, so I took the plunge and ordered these in a 9W. Well success! they arrived today and I tried them on with socks no less (I usually only wear nylon stockings to work), so the faux fur lining is the best. And they are true Wides ladies, so no worries. And the Totes are a fabulous bargain for waterproof winter boot with a front zipper, what could be easier to tuck your pant legs into than a front zipper! And the shipping company did a good job of packing and delivering 2 days earlier than expected.

Did read warnings in reviews about this design flaw, but really wanted knee-high, waterproof at good price. Am dissappointed, but will wear them when warm & dry are priorities. Too bad. They need to be higher, too--I'm only 5 ft tall, but don't even reach to my knees.
