I should have listened to the reviews on here...I agree, these are definitely too big in the ankle area. And with no zipper, it's hard to avoid pants sliding up as you put them on. Probably would work well with skinny jeans, but you will not be able to walk and ignore the bulky feeling around your ankles. The outside quality/material/look of the boot is not bad and I really like the feminine touch of the toe, heel and calf area. However, I'm going to have to send them back.

I absolutely love the style of these boots! The height is just what I was looking for! They hit right below the knees (I'm 5'5"). I have narrow feet and thin calves (about 13.5") so had no problem putting them on and off. They do run a bit big though, I usually wear a 7.5 in shoes, but decided to go half a size up since I like to wear boots with socks. Even so they are still big on me! Especially around the ankles. Since it's difficult for me to exchange them, I guess I'll just buy some gel insoles for extra comfort.

I had given up finding another pair of riding boots. I live in the boom docks and rely on measurements and product reviews. After many boots ordered and returned from many different places; I was happy to stumble across these. I'm still looking for a pair in chocolate brown. The are true to size, maybe a bit narrow but I have narrow feet so I am loving them. The heel is slippery and will need some scuffing up. They are soft and pliable so I have not doubt that they will conform to my feet perfectly in no time. One draw back is the lack of a zipper; not allowing adjustment over the pant leg. This problem is easily solved by using boot snuggies or suspenders also sold on Amazon. Basically mitten clasps and an elastic band that cinches the pant leg in place. I wouldn't be without them. Just fold the hem to the correct length and attach to keep the pant leg from bunching up at the knee. I have a narrow foot and a slim calf, about 13" and I love these boots. All other boots I have ordered have been big around the calf or slouching around the ankles. These are not and the price is great for a leather boot. If they fail to impress me I will let you know.

These boots are very comfortable. The only bad thing, they do not have a zipper on the side or the back, so they can be difficult to remove.
