I was disappointed when I tried to get these boots on.

The button/elastic closure does not make it easier to get your

foot in and there is an inflexible suede band across the top that makes it even a tighter fit. I thought these would be perfect for me but they do not open wide like the picture makes you think.

I like these boots very much except for the fit at the heel. I agree with another reviewer here that my heel slips up and down when I walk with these boots on. I will shop for heel inserts to see if that helps.

Otherwise, I would have given these boots five stars. They are great looking. I ordered 1/2 size larger so that I can wear heavy socks with them. I had no problem inserting my foot into the boot as some others have had. Maybe because I ordered the larger size?

They are beautiful and comfy and I know I will enjoy them for my visit to Colorado next year.

Second pair of boots bought this winter I was a bit worried they would be too narrow for my wide feet, but they fit perfectly. They're warm and comfy and grip the ice fairly well; I love them.
