I was wanting a pair of shorter Frye boots with a western feel and these fit the bill. They are very comfortable and well-made, as Frye's always are. The heel is just high enough to be feminine without being too high to wear for many hours. My only surprise when receiving these was it appeared someone must have returned them because they had a few small scratches on one heel and a tiny bit of scuffing on the bottoms. I got them for such a fabulous price, though, and I'm sure that's why. The color shown in the photo for Cognac is completely off because they're more orangey brown in person, which I was expecting because I'd done my homework. They're a lovely shade, really. I love Jackie!These boots felt great from the moment I put them on. The quality is definitely the same "Frye" boot quality that I have come to expect throughout the years.
