I did a lot of homework before purchasing this boot; ie, reading reviews, comparing toe shape, arch and heel. I have narrow feet with bunions and a "falling arch". I wanted a brown boot that fit just like a pair of aquatalia boots I adore with a 1-2 inch heel, good non-slip soles, stylish rounded toe (not pointed) and waterproof suede. This boot is everything I wanted. I sized up one/half size for my orthotic. It is beautiful--I can walk all day; wear it casually with cord jeans; pants or dressier with skirts. The ankle is comfortable--I have a normal ankle--not really skinny nor chunky. La Canadienne has the same quality as my Aquatalia--superb. It is a bit pricey but worth every penny.

I bought these boots for the winter in NYC as I needed something lower-heeled and comfortable (due to pregnancy) but not completely flat. La Canadienne shoes are pricey but they are usually well worth it b/c of the high quality and comfort. I like that these boots are waterproof (though apparently the guarantee is only for 6 months) and they are breathable, so no sweaty feet. They also go pretty much w/ everything b/c of the neutral color (but not as boring as black).

These are very confortable shoes, a little narrow but ok. You would probably prefer to buy 1/2 size up!

Although these are not very high heeled, the heel base is narrow which makes is not the most stable boot. If you have ankle problems and you walk a lot, maybe this is not the best pair of boots for you.

I love them and would buy them again, they are high quality shoes.

This is my most favorite pair of La Canadienne boots! I ordered a half a size bigger so I could wear thicker socks in cold New York but it turns our these boots are great to wear with thinner socks in rainy or just chilly Califronia. They've molded to my foot and fit perfectly and are extreamly comfortable for walking. I love that there is a bit of heelf height but not too much and I like the more rounded toe on this model. I have many pairs of the square toed La Candadiennes and think these seem a bit more modern.

The only thing that could make this boot better is some arch support. Otherwise if you like a square toe it seems to be well made and comfy.
