Like all the other Merrell shoes I have, these are comfortable right out of the box. They keep my feet warm and dry. Traction on ice is good, actually very good. At first they felt a bit clunky, but after a few minutes walking in them they don't. This is the first time my feet have stayed warm outside. These are my 7th pair of Merrell's. They are very sturdy and built to last. Lastly, since switching to Merrell's several years ago I no longer have sore feet.... ever.

use a size 8 1/2 and ordered an 8 1/2. Very comfortable. Love them the only thing is fits a little big. delivery was faster then what it originally stated.

So far I have only worn the shoes in the house to try the fit. They are very comfortable and big and wide enough to wear with thick socks. I was hesitant to buy shoes off line, but since I own other Merrells I tried.

Fit right out of box. Made of the heavy duty material that I expect for a hiking boot. Material around the ankle is softer and you are not constricted like most boots. I would not call this boot a real hi top, it is more of a mid but supports your ankle. The soles are made of real heavy duty material and I hope they take a long time to wear out. I am very happy with the boot and the price.

Awesome shoe. I wear Merrill's low shoes all the time and never had a pair of mid boots. I ordered 8.5 instead of my usual size 8, so that I could have room for thick socks. Fit perfect with a heavier sick. Let me say, these boots are heavenly! As soon as they arrived, I tried them on and got on the treadmill for 30 minutes and had very happy feet. Very soft to walk on. Definitely a sturdy winter boot, good for inside and out. Can't wait to wear them this winter in the frigid hills of Colorado. I was very pleased with the black leather and soft feel all around to my ankles. I have been wearing Merrill's now for about 10 years, so I am not surprised at the quality of these boots.
