First off yes the shoe is really black, I was a little worried that it would be to light but they are truely dark. Second the shoe is made amazingly well. Easy to wear, easy on your feet and great quality. The perfect pair of shoes for slacks, skirts, historical events etc. I normally wear a 7.5 to an 8 and got the 8 just to be sure and it fits great.

I will have to revise my statement. You can see the original below. Those shoes literally fell apart after 1 week of wearing: the soles detached from the rest of the shoe and some seams came completely undone. I was not expecting this, and am returning them immediatelly. Horrible product!Original: The color is as presented on the photo but less saturated and more on the brown-red than terracota side.
The shoes fit well, very comfortable. The material looks nice and doesn't have a funny plastic odor. There are no excessive glue marks around the soles. Cute shoes for not much: I'm quite happy with them!
