These boots are just what I was looking for! They really are true to size. I was skeptical about that due to the x toe, but I ordered my true size 6-1/2 and they are just fine. I normally wear a 6-1/2 or 7 depending on the shoe style. My advice would be to NOT size up. I have no problem getting them on or off. The leather does show crease marks as soon as you walk in them, but I don't mind that...it gives them that worn, broken in look that is nice in a western boot. They really are beautiful boots, and I love the 9" shaft height, which is perfect for tucking your skinny jeans in or wearing boot cut jeans over them. I do have to agree with a reviewer on another site who said they smell awful. They really do! I don't know why, but I hope that over time it will get better. Phew! Otherwise, they are just about perfect!
