I am so, so bummed about these boots. I bought them 5 months ago, and while they are gorgeous, warm, and comfortable the soles seem to have some issues. In the first three months the front sole on my right boot had totally separated from the boot itself, and the soles are both cracked all the way through where the heel hits. I was hoping these boots would last me years, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting more than a season out of them.

If the sole issue was fixed I'd buy them again I love them that much.

I bought these boots last year and loved how they fit and looked. They were exactly what I had been looking for, but never thought to search for boots made by Caterpillar. The toe box is roomy, the insole is not too hard, and there was just enough space to insert a thin liner with a bit of arch support.

But the bad news is that after wearing them on and off for the fall, the sole came loose from the toe of one boot and only then did I notice also that on both boots, the sole had completely cracked along the junction with the heel. I wish they would change the substandard sole material to something that would hold up for more than a few months, because I'd love to have a pair of these.

I took everyone else's advice and orders down a half size. I usually wear a 8 but got a 7.5 and they fit perfectly! I am so glad that I listened to others advice. These boots are more industrial looking and are great for casual wear. I've only had them for a week but they are great so far...

I ordered a half a size down (an 8 instead of my usual 8.5) as other reviewers had suggested, and they fit perfectly! Love the color, really cute and very comfortable!

I normally wear a 5.5 in flats, 6 in boots and ordered a half size down as advised. They fit perfectly with normal socks but would probably be a bit snug with thick socks. They are extraordinarily comfortable to walk in, although the leather is a bit stiff. Overall the quality of the leather and the sole is excellent, although be warned that there is not much arch support. If you order your normal size you may be able to add inserts to rectify that if needed. I really hope they keep making this boot because it's quickly become a staple in my wardrobe.
