I love these boots so much, but I had trouble figuring out the sizing. After reading reviews and checking many sizing charts, I went with the 8 UK/M 9 W 10 M US, as I usually wear a 10 in women's shoes. My advice is to size down. The tongue of the boots say they're a 9 men's/10 women's in US sizes (which is what I ordered), but a 9 in men's shoes corresponds to an 11 in women's. These boots are more true to the men's sizing, so the supposed women's 10 fits more like an 11. I have way too much room in them. Docs are supposed to fit a bit tightly so they can stretch and conform to your foot, but I have a good inch and a half to two inches of space in the toe.
Tl;dr: If you're a woman buying these boots, get the UK size 3 sizes down from your US size. I.e., if you wear size 10, get size 7 UK and so on and so forth.

these are stiff brand new out of the box but that is alright i have worn them to work for a few days and they are bending and breaking in where i need them great bootsThese were purchased to replace a pair of 1999 Dr Marten 1490s. I was supprised to see that the boots are manufactured in China (minus the sole) and not England. I found through some research that compleate English made boots are still available for purchasem but for almost double the price. They are holding up well with daily use. It took one week to break them in so not to get blisters anymore. The laces are not of the best qulity and I am prepared for them to break soon, but othere than that, so far, so good.Read Best Reviews of Dr. Martens 1490 Boot Here
Nice boots but size was larger than expected, will try to put insole to make them fit traditional doc martinsWish I could afford the ones that are completely made in London, not just the sole. However, these are really nice. You do have to break them in, as they are very stiff at first. The fit is true to size.
