This is my sixth pair of El Naturalista footwear, and my first from their boot collection. I grow increasingly impressed with the unique styling, all natural materials, craftsmanship, and fit. I wear a 7.5B or 37.5B in European sizing, so in this line the size 38 is perfect. Just enough wiggle room for toes and perhaps a pair of socks. I would recommend anyone who wears a half-size to size up to the next round number (e.g. a size 6.5 should order a 37). This low-cut bootie is comfortable around the ankle, too does not cut in like some other booties I've tried. Much more stylish on the foot than it might appear in the photos will look great with jeans or leggings. Highly recommended.

Ok, I admit it, I am an El Naturalista junkie. This brand is top quality, super comfortable and when on sale, irresistible. I could never afford to continue paying $250 for shoes, but Amazon has great sales and I am hooked. I usually take a 9 to 9.5 medium in shoes/boots, but with El Naturalista always go with a 40 EU M or 10 M US. I also used to never wear heals but these are a delight. The color and style are yummy and always draw compliments. As an academic, I need functional and funky! I got hooked on this brand after buying a pair of boots for $350 in store...then I discovered them on Amazon and the rest is history. I have a pair in blue and a pair in red, do I dare go for a pair in taupe?

I almost returned these because they were tight--glad I didn't though, because the leather stretches out so they fit just right. They look INCREDIBLE on, and even though I printed out a return slip for them, I couldn't bring myself to take them to UPS. Good thing I didn't. I wore them a few times for a couple days and then didn't touch them for a week. Tried them on one last time, and somehow during that week, the shoe elves stretched them out just enough to not hurt my feet anymore(?!)

PROS: The company. This has got to be my absolute favorite place to get shoes from--not only are the shoes gorgeous, there is something genuine, civilized and beautifully idealistic in the way this company operates. Love it. Getting an El Naturalista order in the mail is like getting a care package from paradise. You get goodies! I don't want to ruin the surprise for you, just try it and see :-)

As with all El Naturalista shoes, these are made beautifully out of excellent materials. The suede is nice and thick, and the color is great. They are fully lined with leather. The stitching is great, and the soles/heel very unique and interesting visually. They are very sexy on the foot, in an understated, "hot for teacher" kind of way, and even though I haven't worn them very much yet, I can see these easily dressing up or down depending on the situation. The suede seems to have a more casual feel than the smooth leather.

CONS: The only problem I have with this boot is the fit. That's why it has 4 and not 5 stars. The boot opening is roomy, and the toe box fits comfortably after an initial difficult breaking in period. I would advise ordering up a size or even two--especially if you have wide feet. All my weight rests on the balls of my feet when I wear these, and there is very little arch support. This is pretty uncomfortable but easy to remedy with gel inserts. I think if the heel were located further down the shoe bed, it would help support the foot more and distribute weight more evenly. This particular shoe is definitely not as comfortable as others from the same company, even with their great inserts, and if they hadn't started breaking in properly, I would have sent them back. Amazon was great to work with, as always!

I love this boot its really comfortable and looks great. I wanted the blue and taupe ones but the price doubled before I made my purchase so i got the red ones instead, they were still cheap. Im glad I got the red, the colour is really nice. The fit is really good for a narrow foot because of the laces, I find some el naturalista shoes too wide and bulky. Like the other reviewers have said its a versatile boot which is easy to wear all day.

El Naturalista womens N523 Ankle Boot. Super fit! Comfortable right out of the box. Love the heel, the material absorbs the shocks so my knee's and ankles don't get any street or road shocks, and the height is very comfortable. This is my second pair of boots and I am thrilled with both pair. El Naturalista is all about comfort while it makes a hit with me, on being very attractive, I get loads of compliments on them! A bit expensive, but, the craftsmanship is well worth the extra money.
