I would have given these boots a five except that they fit a little big compared to other size 5 dr. Marten Boots. One thing I liked that I didn't see in the photos was the stitching is white on all the seams It makes the boot that is quite simple a bit more fun. Also unlike classic Dr. Marten boots these are very light weight. I am 5'5" and the height is perfect.

These boots are the quality you would expect from Doc Martens. I was looking for something that will hold up for years to come with a classic style. I got both with these boots. I will say the style is a bit more masculine than I expected. Mainly, the shaft is very wide on my calfs. This takes some getting used to, but actually makes them a bit more comfortable. They fit true to size and the cushioned sole is EXTREMELY comfortable.

These boots are wonderful! I have wanted a pair of Doc Marten's since the early 80's. I purchased these since most boots I liked were not wide enough in the calf, these fit the bill perfectly. I am 5'10.5" with "football player" calves. These boots go up just below my knee perfectly. Be forewarned that if you wear between a 10.5 to 11 shoe you may want to purchase an 8UK/10mUS, it should be enough for you to wear decent socks in them.

These are super cute, but the run very big. If you have small calves, these are not for you! I am returning for a full size smaller than I normally wear.

I was looking for a more stylish, leather alternative to rubber rain boots and these are perfect. The soles are grippy on wet pavement, and the toe box wide enough to accommodate thick winter socks. I added an insole to give them some arch support. They are perfect for work, running errands or walking the dog (long distances). Plus, they are super tall and bad-ass looking.
