I was really disappointed to find only one review on this boot, and that one was very lacking in detail. I actually purchased the all-leather Haddie boot in camel, but figure they are probably all made the same, so hopefully this will help others who are trying to decide whether or not to try this boot. I was really concerned about the color, because it looked quite a bit lighter on some sites than others, but it is a beautiful, perfect camel color. Not too light or too dark. One site said the boot runs small, so size up and another site reported to order usual size as it runs true to size. What I would say about that is this: if you are between sizes, definitely order up. I typically always wear a 6 in every kind of footwear, so I went with my usual size and am glad I did. They are a bit snug with thicker socks, but I am ok with that. I think they will loosen up with some wear, and I want to be able to wear tights with them without my foot slipping out. The ankle is little wider due to the fact that it is a slip on (no zipper). I am also on the shorter side (5'3") and was concerned about where on my legs these boots would hit. They fall about 2 inches below my knee, or thereabouts. The perfect height, in my opinion. The leather is amazingly soft. I hope they don't end up bunching too much in the ankles due to the softness of the leather. I was also slightly worried about the circumference of the boot, as I have small calves (13"). These boots give just the right amount of room--a small gap, which I like. They are definitely sleek, more form-fitting boots, but will accommodate skinny jeans. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the black sole, but you don't even notice it. I hope these boots hold up well because I spent significantly more on them than I would normally spend on a boot, but I couldn't find what I was looking for after months of searching. So I caved...and bought them sight-unseen on a final sale. YIKES. So glad my initial reaction to them was a good one. If you've been looking at these boots, I say GO FOR IT!

UPDATE: After wearing these boots for an entire day, I say SIZE UP!! My usual size is too snug. What a pricey mistake for me. Sure hope this review prevents someone else from making the same!
