I've been buying these boots for years. They are warm, incredibly comfortable, lightweight, and waterproof. They also look great with jeans and moderately dressy pants.

However, they're not as waterproof as they used to be my first couple of pairs never leaked, but my last two or three started to leak within a few months.

But the biggest change is the soles. They wear out in less than a year now. They used to last for at least 2-3 years. Toewarmers, what is this new material you're using in the soles? Please use Vibram, or something more durable than this junky material you've started using. Now that your boots cost $99 (they used to cost $60!), we deserve better than this!

Unlike a lot of boots where I've had to size up to be comfortable (and I already wear an 11W), I didn't have to with this pair. My foot is on the small range of the 11W side, though, and my ankles are also thin for that size shoe, to be fair. This is my second pair of the same brand/stylemy other pair lasted three years, through lots of use. The new pair is equally as comfortable & feels fine on. This is the safest pair of winter boots I've ever found when walking on ice. Naturally, one still has to be careful, but this is superior in traction to other boots that I've worn. They are worth the money. I wear them with cotton socks of average thickness, not thin athletic socks but not thick wool ones, either. You definitely want to wear these with a sock that will cover your foot & ankle against the boot, or the boot's inner fabric will rub against your skin uncomforatbly. The laces & lace holes are designed to work with a variety of sock thicknesses, though. I will say that if you have it on one of the tightest two settings (which I do), the boot laces are quite short. If the boots have one flaw, it's that the laces are a bit too thin & small. The boots, though, are muted enough that you can wear them with bootcut pants/jeans & still get away with them in a business casual environment. Safety & comfort comes first, and style second, in my opinion.

These boots are comfortable and easy to clean. The salt just washes off. They are warm with socks and stockings. I just bought another pair to have in stock; the current pair show no signs of wearing out anytime soon, but I don't want to be unable to buy them when that happens.

I live in a cold, snowy climate and I have hard-to-fit feet. These wonderful boots come in WIDE, are warm and very light weight! Also, they are so plain and inconspicuous that you don't look as though you are wearing boots, so you can go to church or a restaurant and not look as though you came in off the ski slope. The fit is true to size with a thin, wool sock, but If you plan to wear heavy socks, I would suggest going up a size.

I wore these boots in Montana and Wyoming in February in 20 below weather. My feet didn't get cold. These boots look sharp and have good tread for walking in snow.
