I am thrilled with these boots. I had a pair of black boots that were my go-to and after a few years they are looking kind of beat up. I have been on a hunt for the holy grail of black boots and while these have not yet been test driven significantly, I am feeling pretty good about the idea that I have found them. First of all, the leather is beautiful. Soft and textured, but thick and durable looking at the same time. The leg of the boot is lined with a soft, velvety material. The heel is 3", but there is a 3/4 inch platform that takes some of the pressure off of the ball of my foot. They say that the footbed is specially constructed to reduce foot fatigue. I cannot yet speak to this, but I notice that the heel has a curve at the back, with extra rubber padding extending about 3/4" up the back of the heel. I don't know if this reduces wear or increases shock absorbancy. I do know that my old fave boots wore out on the heel and one of the big problems was that I was scraping the pavement in the back, which was not a good sound or feeling.
I am 5'4" and I did not have any problems with the length of the shaft. As a matter of fact, I would not mind if it came up about an inch or so higher. I measure at a 7.5 medium but generally like to go up a half size so I can add a cushioned insole, especially on heels. The 8 was not available in black so I rolled the dice and got the 7.5. These are very snug on me through the foot, ankle and even up the calf. If these were made of a man-made material, I would have to send them back. However, the feel of the leather is so supple, I am confident that these will adjust to my feet over the next few wearings. Since I am not very tall, I don't like to tuck boots into pants because it is not flattering. Good thing, because these are very fitted to my calves one would have to have very slender legs to wear these tucked. Leggings will work for me, though.
The toe of this boot is just pointy enough to look fashionable without cruelty to the toes, the shaft is fitted enough to work under pants of any leg width. I spent more on these boots than I like to spend, but I am ever so happy with them.
**UPDATE** After several weeks of wearing these boots, they have broken in like a dream. I have never been so happy with a pair of boots, ever. The other day I wore them all day long at work, then came home and cleaned my house. Wearing 3" heels. I kept meaning to change to sneakers or something, but they weren't bothering me enough to stop and change. For me that is unreal. I can hardly go to a party wearing heels! So, I bought a backup pair in the exact size and color for who knows when, since these boots are very high quality and not likely to wear out any time soon. Plus I bought a pair of the ankle height Stratham booties in brown. Now that I practically need to be featured on an episode of "Hoarders" I decided it was safe to post my love of these boots for all the world to see! If you are thinking about getting some, do it, because I have all I need!!!!!

These boots look so great and are so comfortable! Despite a 3 inch heel, they are comfortable enough to walk around in all day and for long distances. They are telling the truth about their new technology in making these comfortable. Plus I've received so many compliments on them, because they are just so great looking. I have them in black and am considering getting the brown.Buy Timberland Women's Stratham Heights Knee-High Boot Now
This is a really nice boot, well made with a great, rich color (medium brown). Unfortunately, I am 5'1" and the top of the boot hit too high on my leg and it was awkward when bending my knee. I really, really wanted to keep this as I loved the color and the comfort (and it's waterproof!!!) and considered altering it to make it shorter, but that would not have been possible due to the side zipper. I thought it fit TTS. So sad that it didn't work out, and am hoping that this style is offered in a little shorter shaft height in the future.Read Best Reviews of Timberland Women's Stratham Heights Knee-High Boot Here
These are beautiful boots. The leather has a great feel. They are a little tight on my caves but they stretch well. My only problem is that there is no insoles at ALL in the boots. I can even see the screws where the heel is attached inside the foot of the shoe. It specifically says "Anti-fatigue removable footbed provides all-day comfort and support". Well it is missing in my boots completely, and without them the boots kill my feet. I am assuming that the boot might have been returned to amazon and whomever bought the boots "kept" the insoles, but it would have been NICE for amazon to let me know this at my purchase! I don't know how to contact Amazon and let them know this. I don't want to return the boots, just new insoles for the ones I have, or at least a way to buy the proper insoles for the boots if they will/can not send me ones.Want Timberland Women's Stratham Heights Knee-High Boot Discount?
I just got these today and I LOVE them! I read alot about these boots before I ordered them. I read that the shaft was tight, but I also saw that they have a flexible gored panel on the back of the boot. Took a chance and went for it. I normally wear an 8.5 or 9 in most shoes, but I ordered a 9.5 wide, because I read that they are tight. They fit perfect in the foot area. I have large, athletic calves 17" at the widest point, and I broke out into a sweat zipping these puppies up, but I did it! Today we had 2-3 inches of snow that melted and it's been raining ALL day long, so I decided to test the waterproof, and after a trip to the store walking through puddles that would have soaked any of my non waterproof shoes, my feet are dry! And the leather is starting to conform and stretch already. The shock absorbing heel is awesome, unlike any other heel I have ever walked in! And my toes are not all smashed together, which happens to me in almost every other heel I've worn! Bottom line, don't be too discouraged by the tight shaft, it will stretch. I can already tell these will be my favorite boots!**UPDATE** I went to Walmart and bought a womens 3/4 length insole to put in these since I am on feet alot and always have problems with pain in the ball of my foot. I have a bunion on the inside of my left foot that always gives me problems in heels, but the soft leather is very forgiving and I have no pain from it in these boots! After wearing these boots on 4 different days, chasing daycare kids, baking, cooking breakfast lunch and dinner, doing laundry and other household chores, grocery shopping, and splashing through puddings in the rain, they are broke in and SO comfortable! I ordered them in brown and had some different ones in mind to order for black boots, but changed my mind and ordered these in black for my black boots! I love how comfortable these are and the fact that they are waterproof has sealed the deal for me, considering we typically get our first snow by Halloween and can still get snow through February and March, and have a couple months of rainy spring weather. I need to have warm, dry, comfortable feet and don't wanna be stuck wearing ugly, unfashionable snow boots more than half the year! I only wish these were available in more than just black and brown! I have several other pairs of boots that I am now getting rid of and will be wearing ONLY my Timberland boots when I need to wear boots!
