Usually you take a risk buying boots online. These Ros Hommerson boots are incredible. Wife slipped them on and immediately a smile lit up her face. When the wife smiles, than I'm happy as well. Took a chance buying these since they have such a high heel, but she was so comfortable in them and didn't mind the heel height at all. The leather is very high quality and smooth not bumpy as shown in pictures. Nice product, good shipping very satisfied.

Got these right after Christmas. Love them! The two-tone makes them a great combo with just about any color top or pants. The dark brown on the toe and heel borders on black, and the tan is a warm cognac light enough that the boot doesn't clash with black/dark pants. I get tons of compliments every time I wear them!

Definitely fitted around the calf, so not for those needing a wide-calf boot. True to size, and I wouldn't recommend if you've got wide feet. Made of a nice quality leather and very comfortable.

I bought these boots b/c they boast a smaller calf opening. My calves are 13.5" at the widest part and generally most knee high boots are too wide. These boots do indeed fit smaller than the average boot and I have about an inch gap inside the shaft. So if you are looking for boots that fit smaller calves these are for you. These boots look much more expensive than they are and are well made.

My only complaint is that there isn't much cushion in the footbed.

I agree with other reviewers in terms of the top part of the boot that covers the thigh. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering an extra wide size since I have never had to order that way. But thanks to the reviews I decided to go ahead and it was the best decision. My calf would definitely not have fit a regular size. The extra wide is a bit snug, particularly as the zipper comes closer up to the top, but it is not too much to feel uncomfortable. This is the main reason why I gave a 3 instead of a 4 star rating. Otherwise the boot is very pretty and I like the femenine design with the buttons on top. The delivery was fast and I was very pleased with the seller's efficiency. Thank you!!

I have a wide calf and this did not fit me at all, thats the reason I gave 3 stars, but if you are not a wide calf but a regular, this will suit you great. The boots are great quality, the color is true to the picture, the height is very comfortable, looks stylish, I mean, this is a beautiful boot just not for my legs unfortunately. I suggest Amazon do not show them in that category, otherwise great product.

If you are looking for a great pair of fashion boots, don't be afraid to check these out. I was looking for a suede-like boot to wear with a couple of faux suede riding skirts that I have. These fit the bill perfectly! They are true to size lengthwise, I ordered my normal 8.5 and I have more than enough room. I did choose the wide option over my normal medium and they are very roomy. I have a calf between 14.5 15 and these boots just manage to zip up, I would not be able to wear leggings, skinny jeans, etc tucked into them. They will work perfectly with tights and a skirt, and they were a fantastic price, so I'm very happy.

These are a great pair of boots for its price. Its simple yet stylish. A type of boot that wouldn't easily be out of season, I was very careful in purchasing though since I want to make sure they will fit me. According to product description, I can fit into a regular. However, I went ahead and ordered the wide calf since they were cheaper. I thought, I needed the space so I could wear jeans with it too. But then, when I tried them on.. The wide was a perfect fit to my calves. I didnt have the extra space as I expected. I could still wear jeans with them but it will be too tight on me already.

I guess, they run too narrow. but other than that, I love them. So I suggest you guys just go witha size higher to make sure.

These boots are very attractive with the small square of brown and the blue laces on a black background. But, more important, they are extremely comfortable and warm due to the eco/ortholite inner sole. I wore them in Patagonia in the Argentine winter all day with a pair of jeans, microfiber stockings and cotton socks and was warm and comfortable. I am average size and height, and I was able to comfortably fit these items in my boots and walk around all day. I do not have stick-thin legs. However, for anyone with wide calves, I would recommend another style. The tongue under the laces is attached to the boot and so the laces should be regarded as an embellishment. That is, the boots cannot be made wider or narrower. I am very happy with them and recommend them highly.

i bought these boots for their generous calf circumference, so i could tuck my pants in and still have circulation to my feet. the first pair i bought (from tretorn directly as they were not yet available on amazon) in my normal size and they were HUGE! so i ordered my next pair from amazon a size smaller and i would say they are still a size too big... other than that, they are great. seriously consider ordering two sizes below your normal size! (normally i am in a US 7, and the US 6 is large).

I wanted peep-toe ankle boots but found nothing that I liked that fit. I can't wear stilettos and love platform shoes, so gave these a try. I've worn them to work, on flights, and walking around cities I've visited, and they are comfortable and fun. People comment on them because they're not really a sandal, not really a boot. I like them. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because of the buckle. It's a bit of a pain to buckle shoes to get them on and off. Other than that, these are low-maintenance stylin' shoes!

These are very stylish, well made boots. I love the pin heels, they are really nice looking yet not uncomfortable. However, I have to agree with another reviewer that they are too loose around ankle. In fact my feet could get in and out without opening the zippers. Since I was planning to wear this with skirts, the loose ankle area looked unbalanced with my skinny ankles... had to return :(

Love them; heels are just right; width runs true to size; however, there is something wrong with the ankle which sticks out! If I had gotten these boots cheap, I would have taken them to the cobblers and have darts stitched in the inside of the ankles! Also, please note that "grey" is actually taupe; no complaints though, as I have seen this before. For the price I cannot afford to pay another $25 to have the darts put in!

I like everything about these boots; they're the right height for those who can't wear very high heels and they're decent quality. All of the other thigh-high boots I've seen were over 4 inches high. They also look longer on short legs, so it gave me room to cut and modify them for a costume. The only con is that they're kind of skinny. I'm petite and my calves aren't really that big, but I had trouble zipping them up at first. So if your calves are over 14 1/4 inches in circumference, you might need to look for a different pair.

I ordered this boot in size 6, and the shaft circumference was about 14 inches, or 14.25 at the most not anywhere near the 18.5 inches in the product description. If memory serves me correctly, the circumference of a boot shaft increases between 1/8 and 1/4 inch for every half size increase, so do the math to see if it'll fit you.

It's fine for me because my calves measure 14 inches on my left leg and 14.5 inches on my right leg. It looks fantastic on my smaller leg, but is a little scrunched around the ankle on my right leg. The shaft material does give a little, though, so I was able to pull it up all the way. I'm going to use my big metal boot shaft stretcher on one boot, and it'll be perfect.

The tan color is pretty, the faux fur detail is flattering because it makes legs look slimmer, and the covered wedge heel creates an illusion of a flat heel. And it's comfortable, too! Good boot for fall and spring, but I wouldn't wear it on a winter day because it's not leather.

Based on the current Amazon price, this boot is a steal!

I live in central Florida, so it is a luxury to wear boots down here :) I bought these for our few and far between cold days. They are not anywhere near as comfortable as my boyfriends UGG's... they also only cost about 1/5 the cost of UGG's, so I guess the old adage that "you get what you pay for" applies here.

They are a wee bit snug across my foot. However, I also live primarily a barefoot life and am very picky about shoe comfort, or lack of it. They feel as if there is basically zero support in the arch and sole, so I probably would not elect to where them if I was going to be doing a lot of walking or standing. I'm hoping that they'll stretch and get a little more comfortable with use. At present time, I don't think I could wear them comfortably with socks. Hose would probably be okay, but not socks until they stretch out a little. Hope the information helps :)
