This boot arrived VERY quickly, which was the first big plus shipping took less than two days (ordered Saturday night and arrived on Monday afternoon.). I have been looking for a riding boot for almost two years, but had something very specific in mind, so haven't found anything that satisfies what I wanted. Then I found these. All-in-all I'm very pleased.
The pros: The shaft height is exactly what I wanted, and the boots come up to just below my knee; the leather is pretty nice (but I wouldn't have thought so for the full price of $250); the khaki color is great and looks nicely distressed; there is a finger hook in the back to help get the boots all the way up on your calf (since the zipper is only a half zipper at the bottom and the upper half does not open).
The cons: the shoes are a little narrow, but otherwise I think they fit true to size (I have seen these reviewed as being a half size larger, but I disagree completely); because they are slightly narrow, when I first put them on and zipped one foot up quickly, the zipper didn't catch and I had to force it back down and re-zip carefully (I expect this will be the case for the first few wears until the leather stretches); the two upper buckles are not functioning.

I am still going back and forth about these boots. I ordered the black when they were 60% off, so that was worth it in itself. They are just gorgeous boots! I am 6' tall and they reach the bottom of my knee, which is a small miracle in itself. My foot is average width and I wear an 11, so that is what I ordered. Length wise they have a little room which is great, but any narrower and I wouldn't be able to wear them! They fit perfect over my skinny jeans and I'm going to wear them tomorrow for the day to see how that goes. The only thing that is driving me slightly bonkers is the toe/foot area is noticeably different then the rest of the boot. It is shiny and hard through out the foot area while the rest of the leather is more matte, soft, and oh so perfect. I have yet to determine if it is going to get to me or not. I originally wanted the brown boot but the price jumped up the day I ordered.... I'm left wondering if the brown and khaki do the same? All in all, if your tall and want a boot that goes up to your knee then GET THIS ONE! :DBuy Miz Mooz Women's Kellen Riding Boot Now
I really love the look of these boots. They do run a little large, so I ordered accordingly (I either wear 8.5 or 9, so I ordered 8.5). The boots are tall enough...just below my knee; I love the distressed look of the leather, and the light brown color. There are two zippers, one on the inside that is functional, and one on the outside that is just for looks. The lining is soft, almost fuzzy, but thin. They are also comfortable enough to wear all day. The ONE thing I was not impressed with, is that the leather is kind of thin. I don't think you can tell this by looking at them, but when you feel them you can. I decided to keep them because I love everything else about them and had been looking for a boot of this style and color for so long. After wearing them several times, I don't see any problems with the leather, and am glad I kept them. Overall, I love them!!Read Best Reviews of Miz Mooz Women's Kellen Riding Boot Here
I absolutely fell in love with these boots. However, I ordered a size 8.5 (my normal size) and they were HUGE!!! So I ordered down one whole size to a 7.5 and they were just a little too snug because they are narrow in the toe. So, I basically had to eat it in the shipping X2, but what can you do? The khaki color is very nice. I am 5"9 and the boots were at my knee. The zippers seem to be cheaply made had difficulty unzipping them the first time I tried them on, and I wondered how they would hold up. I also didn't quite like the way the leather unevenly bunched up around the ankle area. Looks great in the picture though!Want Miz Mooz Women's Kellen Riding Boot Discount?
I am 5'7" with long legs. So, I have trouble finding boots with shafts that stop just under my knees. However, these boots fit the bill. The leather on the shaft is of good quality. It is soft, yet I think the shaft will stay up on the legs without slouching.
I have 14.5" calves, and the shaft fit perfectly for me. I could squeeze my skinny jeans down in them. I think the shaft would eventually give a little, anyway.
The boots also run about 3/4 size too large. So I went down from my usual 9m to the 8.5m. The length was good, with room to spare for socks.
I ordered the brown and it was a nice dark brown. There are darker spots of brown/black on the feet. I guess to give them the distressed effect.
However, the toes of the boots were too narrow for me. Since the toes of the boots were so hard, I didn't feel that they would stretch in that area. I wore them around the house for about 5 minutes and they hurt a lot. So, I did not want to take a chance on them not stretching. So, I unhappily returned them. I really think they are gorgeous boots, and they certainly smelled of leather.
