These boots were such a good deal, and the style looked like what I was looking for. Unfortunately, they are very, very stiff which makes them feel not true to size. They are also wide in the ankle, and there is no way to adjust that, so they look like heavy-duty combat boots almost. Back they go.I wanted a casual boot that I could wear with jeans, in or out, and these fit the bill. I have a long torso and short legs so I don't do the "knee boot over the jeans" look that is so popular right now. Instead, I opt for the calf height boot, better balance for me. These are perfect. The quality is awesome, they are super comfortable, and mostly, I love that they do not narrow at the ankle, which looks good on some women but reminds me too much of combat boots. These boots are beautiful.
